CSV download options

When a list is completed, you have the option to download the list in a few different ways.

Download options:

All emails - This will download the full CSV with every email in it, with the result columns below appended to your original columns. There is a more generalized result code (Email State), and a more detailed result code (Email Sub-State).
Safest bet - Download only the email addresses that are safe to send to. This only includes emails with a state of ok and a sub-state of email_ok.
Highest reach - Download emails with a state of ok or risky and a sub-state of email_ok, is_disposable or is_role. This gives you every safe email plus disposable and role addresses, which are generally deliverable but may have a higher bounce or complaint rate. Other sub-states such as accept_all, failed_greylisted, unknown_error and timed_out are left out. A role address on an accept-all domain (state risky, sub-state is_role) is included, with Accept-All set to true. Invalid and unknown role addresses are left out. In lists uploaded after confidence scoring launched (November 2026), highest reach also includes accept_all, failed_greylisted, unknown_error and timed_out results with a confidence of 76 or more. The row count matches the highest reach count shown for the list.
Only invalid - Download only the emails that are invalid. These emails are not safe to send to.

All four files have the same columns; they differ only in which rows they include.

Result columns

Your original columns come first, unchanged. Truelist then appends these columns, in this order:

Column	Values
`Email Address`	The email address that was validated
`Did you mean`	A suggested correction for a likely typo (for example `erin@gnail.com` → `erin@gmail.com`). Blank when there is no suggestion.
`Email State`	`ok`, `invalid`, `risky` or `unknown`
`Email Sub-State`	The detailed result, such as `email_ok`, `accept_all`, `is_disposable`, `is_role`, `failed_no_mailbox` or `failed_greylisted`. The `unknown_error` and `timed_out` sub-states are written as `unknown` in the CSV; the API returns their full names.
`MX Record`	The mail server (MX host) the address was validated against, for example `aspmx.l.google.com`. Blank when the domain has no MX record, when the check timed out before the MX lookup, for addresses on excluded domains, and for emails validated before MX records were stored.
`Inbox Provider`	The provider that hosts the mailbox, detected from the MX record. See inbox provider values. Blank when there is no MX record.
`Free`	`true` if the address is on a free or ISP-provided personal mailbox domain (Gmail, Yahoo, Comcast, BT…), otherwise `false`
`Role`	`true` if the address is a role address, such as `info@` or `sales@`
`Accept-All`	`true` if the domain accepts mail for any address, so the mailbox itself could not be confirmed
`Disposable`	`true` if the address is on a disposable or temporary email domain
`Alias`	`true` if the address has a `+tag`, such as `jane+news@example.com`. Dots in a Gmail address do not make it an alias.
`Validation Method`	`standard`, `enhanced` or `enhanced_not_run`, the same value shown in the dashboard
`Verified At`	When the address was verified, in ISO 8601 UTC, for example `2026-10-05T08:30:00Z`
`Confidence`	How sure the result is, from `0` to `100` (no `%` sign). `100` for a definite result, up to `95` for an uncertain one. Blank when the result has no score. See confidence.

The Free, Role, Accept-All, Disposable and Alias columns are always true or false.

Confidence is always the last column. Only lists that finished after confidence scoring launched (November 2026) have it; files from older lists keep the columns they were built with and aren’t regenerated. Report exports always end with a confidence column too, blank for results from before the launch.

Each email has one sub-state, and the flags follow from it. A role address on an accept-all domain is true for both Role and Accept-All. A disposable address is never flagged as role or accept-all.

Inbox provider values

Inbox Provider is always one of these values. New values may be added over time, but existing ones will not be renamed or removed.

`mailgun`, `sendgrid`, `amazon_ses`, `mailchimp`, `postmark`, `sparkpost`	Inbound routing through an email delivery service
`other`	An MX host that doesn’t match any of the providers above

The same values are returned as inbox_provider by the API.
